Boys Wrestling

Varsity: Central Valley 76, Ceres 6

JV: Central Valley 82, Ceres 0

The Crosstown Throwdown was a one-sided affair last night as the Hawks capped off their magical 2025-2026 season with a win over Ceres that clinched CV’s first varsity boys wrestling WAC Championship since 2016!  Congrats to our Varsity Boys on their amazing league season as they will now prepare for the CIF SJS Dual Championships this Saturday at Lincoln High in Stockton followed by the WAC Championship Tournament on February 7th at Ceres High.  The JV Boys also finished off the regular season in style as they finished a perfect 7-0 in WAC competition which was good enough for the JV WAC Title.

Girls Wrestling

Varsity: Central Valley 48, Ceres 33

In a tightly contested Crosstown matchup, the Hawks had to come from behind late to secure a 48-33 win over a solid Ceres team.  The Hawks and Bulldogs came into the matchup tied for 2nd place in the standings so this victory secured a 2nd place WAC finish for CV (6-1).  The Livingston Wolves captured the Varsity Girls Wrestling title with a record of 7-0 and only one girls teams gets an automatic qualifier spot to the team duals tournament.  Our CV Hawks have submitted an at-large bid to the Section Office, so we will wait to see if we get one of the at-large team dual playoff bids for girls wrestling.

Boys Basketball

Varsity: Central Valley 67, Grace Davis 41

JV: Central Valley defeats Grace Davis

Frosh-Soph: Grace Davis defeats Central Valley

The Varsity Boys basketball team took their momentum from their big crosstown win on Friday night and picked up another solid WAC victory.  The Hawks took down the Grace Davis Spartans by the score of 67-41 as CV was led by Parteek Sohal (17pts), Xavier Manor (13pts), and Jace McLennon (9pts).  The win keeps the Hawks in 4th place (tied with Livingston) as they look to make a surge down the stretch to challenge for the WAC’s 3rd and final automatic qualifier playoff spot.  CV remains 1 game back of 3rd place Johansen, who sits at 5-3 in WAC play.  The Hawks will be back in action on Friday night when they travel to Pacheco to take on the Panthers.
