JV Boys: Central Valley 42, Patterson 24

The Hawks finished off the CCC Dual season in style with a program-wide sweep over a solid Patterson group.  The Varsity Boys team finished up CCC Dual play in 3rd place with a record of 4-2 which puts them just one slot short of qualifying for the Section Duals.  This year, only the top 2 teams qualify for the Section Duals and Golden Valley (5-1) and Merced (6-0) will be advancing.  The program looks to be in good shape moving forward as the JV Boys also finished the season in 3rd place with a 4-2 record.  As CV enters the WAC next season, they look to be a major player.  The Girls Wrestling team finished an amazing Dual Season with a 5-1 record, which is good enough for 2nd place (Golden Valley 6-0).  The Lady Hawks continue their strong tradition as a Section power as they look to now have individuals advance to the post-season.  Girls Wrestling does not have Section Duals yet, but it will be established next year.  The Hawks look forward to being a part of that new playoff system for the girls once it’s put in place.  The wresting season will continue with the CCC Finals on Friday, February 2nd at Atwater High.  This is a chance for some of our individual wrestlers to qualify for the upcoming CIF Masters Tournament.  Good luck to all of our wrestlers as they look to finish off the season on a strong note.
