Girls Soccer

Varsity: Central Valley 2, Atwater 1

The Lady Hawks picked up a crucial CCC win last night with a 2-1 victory over the Atwater Falcons.  Due to some injuries and illness, the Hawks were down to just 11 players (no subs), but they were able to grind out a huge league win.  CV will be back in action tomorrow as they will host the Golden Valley Cougars in another important, early season matchup.

Boy Soccer

Varsity: Central Valley 3, Atwater 0

The Hawks cruised to their 2nd CCC win with a solid 3-0 victory over the Falcons.  CV goals were scored by Ivan Cervantes, Alexis Cervantes, and Victor Macias.  The Hawks are now 9-3-1 overall, 2-0 in CCC.  The schedule will intensify even more as the Hawks will travel to take on the 8-0 Golden Valley Cougars tomorrow night.  The Cougars are the defending CCC champions and DIII Section champions from last season.  The Hawks will look to get round 1 of this crucial CCC matchup.  The two teams will meet again at CV on January 16th.  CV will then continue the grind with a Friday trip to Central Section powerhouse, Sanger High. 

Boys Basketball

Varsity: East Union 69, Central Valley 42

JV: East Union defeats CV

Frosh: East Union defeats CV

The Hawks were swept last night by the East Union Lancers in non-league basketball action.  The Hawks played the Lancers tight into most of the 2nd quarter and then East Union pulled away.  CV fell to 3-5 overall, but the Hawks will look to get back on track tonight when they host the Los Banos Tigers. 

Girls Basketball

Varsity: Bear Creek 44, Central Valley 30

The Varsity Girls Basketball team traveled to Stockton last night to take on the Bear Creek Bruins.  CV battled and kept the game close most of the way, but the Bruins were able to secure the win.  The Hawks will be back in action on Thursday night when they host the Pacheco Panthers with game times of 4:15pm/5:45pm/7:15pm.
