Varsity: Central Valley 3, Downey 1
The Hawks continued their solid play with a steady 3-1 non-league victory over the visiting Downey Knights. CV will now go back into CCC play with 2 crucial games this week. The Hawks will travel to Atwater High tonight and then they host the Golden Valley Cougars on Thursday night.
Girls Basketball
Varsity: Ceres 48, Central Valley 40
The Hawks girls basketball team fought hard last night and lost at tight one to the Ceres Bulldogs in the Crosstown Showdown. CV held a lead early in the 4th quarter, but couldn’t hold off the Bulldogs. The Hawks will look to get back in the win column tonight when the travel to Stockton to take on the Bear Creek Bruins.
