The Hawks traveled to the Northern part of the Section in their past 2 contests and came away with a 1-1 record.  CV defeated Antelope 4-0 and fell to a tough Vista Del Lago squad by the score of 2-1.  The Hawks are now 8-3-1 overall this season and will return to CCC play this Tuesday when they host the Atwater Falcons.  The JV Hawks went 1-0-1 over the past few games to up their record to 11-0-1 overall.

Varsity: Central Valley 6, Lathrop 1

JV: Central Valley 7, Sonora 2

JV: Central Valley 5, Manteca 2 (Championship Game)

The Lady Hawks had a solid showing at the Manteca Tournament as CV went 2-1 overall, making it to the Championship game.  This is the 2nd straight tournament that the Hawks made it to the Championship game of a tournament.  After solid wins against Lathrop and Sonora, the Hawks fell to host Manteca in the finals.  The JV Hawks dominated tournament play and cruised to a title as they went 3-0 and outscored their opponents 23 to 4.  The Hawks will be back in action today with a non-league game against Downey before going back into CCC play this Tuesday at Atwater.

JV: Ceres defeats Central Valley

Frosh: Ceres defeats Central Valley

Frosh: Riverbank defeats Central Valley

The Boys Basketball team dropped the Crosstown Showdown on Friday night, but were able to bounce back quickly with a big win on Saturday night against the Riverbank Bruins.  CV is now 3-4 overall on the season and will have a busy week hosting games vs. East Union (Tues), Los Banos (Wed), and Beyer (Fri).

Girls Basketball

Varsity: Central Valley 41, Venture Academy (Stockton) 34

The Lady Hawks put one in the win column in the Johansen Tournament with a nice 41-34 win over Venture Academy.  CV will be back in action today in the Crosstown Showdown when they take on the Ceres Bulldogs at Ceres High with game times of 4:30pm/6:00pm/7:30pm.
